Tata Tiago EV Bookings Start From 10th Oct; Deliveries In Jan 2023

Tata Tiago EV prices have finally been revealed by the automaker. The electric hatchback is being offered in four trims – XE, XT, XZ+ and XZ+ Tech Lux – priced from Rs 8.49 lakh to Rs 11.79 lakh. With such aggressive pricing, it becomes India’s most affordable electric car. One must note that the aforementioned prices are applicable for the first 10,000 customers of the Tiago electric. Out of these 10K buyers, 2,000 units are reserved for the existing Tigor EV and Nexon EV customers.

The carmaker has confirmed that it will start taking bookings for the Tata Tiago electric from 10th October 2022. Deliveries of the electric hatchback will begin in January 2023.

Tata Tiago EV Deliveries

The new Tata electric hatch comes with two lithium-ion battery packs – 19.2kWh and 24kWh. While the former delivers a claimed MIDC range of 250km, the latter offers 315km on a single charge. The battery packs are IP67 rated and offered with a warranty of 8 years/1,60,000km. The EV features the brand’s Ziptron high-voltage technology that includes a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor that makes 61bhp with 110Nm with smaller battery and 74bhp with 114Nm with bigger battery pack.

Tata claims that the Tata Tiago EV with a 19.2kWh battery can do 0 to 60kmph in 5.7 seconds. Its smaller battery version can accelerate 0-60kmph in 6.2 seconds. The electric hatchback supports a 50kW DC fast charger, 7.2kW AC fast charger (optional) and the standard 3.3kW home charger. Using a 50kW DC fast charger, one can charge its battery from 10 to 80 percent in just 57 minutes. The standard 3.3kW and optional 7.2kW AC fast charger can juice-up its 19.2kWH and 24kWh battery packs in 5 hours 5 minutes – 6 hours 20 minutes and 2 hour 35 minutes and 3 hours 35 minutes respectively.

Some of its key features include electric Blue highlights on exterior and inside the cabin, air dam with tri-arrow Y-shaped elements, a closed-off grille, leatherette steering wheel, driver mode selector, ZConnect app, 45 connected car features, hill start and descent assist, automatic climate control, tyre pressure monitoring system, rains sensing wipers, cruise control, push button start/stop and automatic headlamps.

Similar to the Nexon EV, the Tata Tiago EV has multi-mode regeneration system with four levels. The electric hatchback has been offered in five colour options – Daytona Grey, Tropical Mist, Pristine White, Teal Blue and Midnight Plum.
