New Tata Harrier XZS Variant Prices Start at Rs 20 Lakh – Features Listed

Tata Motors has silently expanded the Harrier SUV model lineup with the addition of a new XZS variant. It has been positioned between the XZ and the range-topping XZ+ trims. The new Tata Harrier XZS is being offered at Rs 20 lakh, the XZS dual-tone and XZAS dual-tone variants cost Rs 20.20 lakh and Rs 21.50 lakh respectively.

The XZS and XZAS Dark Edition are offered at Rs 20.30 lakh and Rs 21.60 lakh respectively, while the XZAS variant comes with a price tag of Rs 21.30 lakh. All aforementioned prices are ex-showroom, Delhi. Compared to the XZ, the new Tata Harrier XZS variant is around Rs 1.25 lakh – Rs 1.30 lakh more expensive. It’s nearly Rs 35,000 cheaper than the top-end XZ+ trim.

On the feature front, the new Harrier XZS trim offers 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, 6-way adjustable driver seat, a panoramic sunroof, adjustable lumbar support and auto dimming IRVM. Though, it misses out on the iRA connected car technology and ventilated front seats when compared to the XZ+.

The feature list also includes Xenon HID projector headlamps, 9-speaker JBL sound system, an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a rear parking camera, 6 airbags and automatic AC, wipers, and headlamps.

No changes have been made to its engine. The new Tata Harrier XZS variant comes with the 2.0L diesel motor that’s good for 170PS and 350Nm. The SUV comes with 6-speed manual and automatic gearbox options. If reports are to be believed, the company will introduce a new 1.5L turbo petrol engine on the Harrier model lineup with a mid-life update. The Harrier facelift is reported to come with features such as ADAS (advanced driver assistance system), a 360 degree camera, an updated infotainment system, electronic parking brake, a fully digital instrument cluster and ambient lighting.
