
The Korean automaker, Hyundai has officially introduced the facelifted versions of the Aura compact sedan in the Indian market. The model lineup comes in four trims – E, S, SX and SX (O) – priced between Rs 6.29 lakh – Rs 8.57 lakh (all, ex-showroom). Interested buyers can book the 2023 Hyundai Aura facelift online or at authorised dealerships by paying a token amount of Rs 11,000. The new compact sedan comes with cosmetic design changes and an upgraded cabin with enhanced safety.

Design & Interior
The 2023 Hyundai Aura facelift comes with cosmetic design changes. The front fascia has a new blacked-out grille in 3D mesh pattern, new boomerang shaped LED daytime running lamps and revised bumper. The side profile looks identical to the existing model, except for the new set of alloy wheels.
The mid-spec variant gets dual-tone steel wheels, while the top-spec models get 15-inch diamond cut alloy wheels. Hyundai has added chrome finish for door handles, while the other visual enhancements include blacked-out B pillar and rear chrome garnish. The compact sedan can be had in 6 different colours – Polar White, Fiery Red, Titan Grey, Starry Night, Tuphoon Silver and Teal Blue.

In terms of proportions, the new Hyundai Aura facelift is 3,995mm in length, 1,680mm in width and 1,520mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,450mm. Hyundai claims that the new Aura has a more refined interior and fitted with high quality materials.
The compact sedan gets a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear knob, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity, a 3.5-inch multi-information display, Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, voice recognition, Type C USB fast charger, wireless phone charger and others.
Safety Features
The new Hyundai Aura comes equipped with 4 airbags as standard, while the top-spec model gets 6 airbags including curtain and side airbags. Other safety features include automatic headlamps, electronic stability control, vehicle stability management, hill start assist, tyre pressure monitoring system, emergency stop signal, rear parking sensors and camera and headlamp escort function.

Engine Options
The new Aura is powered by a 1.2-litre 4-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine that produces 83PS of power and 113.8Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual and an AMT (Automated Manual Transmission). In CNG mode, the engine churns out 69PS of power and 95.2Nm of torque. It is only available with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
