LML Electric Bike & Star Electric Scooter India Debut Tomorrow

Lohia Machinery Limited (LML) is all set to make a comeback in the Indian market. This time around, the iconic two-wheeler brand will re-invent itself as an electric vehicle brand. LML has already patented multiple names in India. In fact, a new LML Start electric scooter and an all-new electric bike have already been spotted in India.

It is expected these two EVs will first go on sale in our market. The new Electric scooter and bike are most likely to make India debut on September 29, 2022. The LML Star electric scooter comes with minimalistic design with straight lines and clean body panels. The leaked images reveal that the electric scooter gets an LED DRL at the front apron, and the headlight is placed on top of the DRL. The front apron is finished in glossy black.

The Star electric scooter comes with square-shaped digital instrument console, which is likely to show multiple info including charging levels and range. Also visible are the red highlights in the horizontal strip on the side body panels and on the split grab rails. The electric scooter gets disc brakes, telescopic front forks and monoshock unit at the rear. It has a mid-mounted electric motor and drives the rear wheel via a chain drive.

The spy shot of the electric bike reveals that it has a very unique styling. The motorcycle shares design cues from supermoto bikes, featuring a flat bench-style seat, small front mudguard, flat LED headlamps and an upright handlebar. The motorcycle features a trellis frame, which is not common in EVs. The tank is likely to offer a small storage space.

What’s interesting is that the spotted LML electric bike has pedals, which are not offered on mainstream bikes and are offered with electrically assisted bicycles. It is expected that the new model won’t be a performance model. The motorcycle has small front petal disc brake and a belt final drive.
