With the arrival of the entrants, the competition is getting fiercer in the compact SUV segment in India. In order to boost its sales, Tata Motors is planning to give a mid-life update to its highly popular Harrier SUV. In fact, the company has started testing its updated model in the country. Recently, a test mule of the new 2023 Tata Harrier facelift was caught on camera revealing some interesting details.
Improved Design
Most of the cosmetic changes are expected to be made at the front end. The new Harrier will carry a newly-designed grille and headlamps and a slightly tweaked bumper. We expect that the SUV will be made available with a new set of alloy wheels, while the tyre size will remain unchanged. Significant updates will be made inside the cabin.

New High-Tech Features
The new Tata Harrier 2023 will be high on features compared to its current model. The SUV might come with a larger and updated infotainment system that’s likely to support wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The carmaker might also equip the new Harrier with a 360 degree surround view camera, air purifier and ventilated seats as we have seen in the Harrier Kaziranga Edition. Rumour has it that the biggest update might come in the form of the ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) suite. Read – 2023 Tata Safari With Petrol Engine To Rival New Scorpio N
Petrol Powertrain
With the mid-life update, the Tata Harrier is likely to receive a new 1.5L turbocharged petrol engine that will be good for 150bhp. The existing 2.0L Kryotec diesel motor (170bhp/350Nm) will also continue to be on offer. The SUV model lineup can be had with both manual and automatic gearbox options.

Minor Price Hike
Prices of the new 2023 Tata Harrier facelift are likely to be slightly higher than the current model. The latter one costs Rs 14.70 lakh – Rs 21.90 lakh (all, ex-showroom).
